About Brianna Kocka
A genre-bending singer-songwriter, Brianna Kocka has been a staple in the Minnesota music community for 15+ years. She has shared the stage with countless bands and touring artists including Marc Cohn and The Cult, and has had her music featured on General Hospital, 20/20, Betrayed, Siesta Keys, and other television shows.
A former Christian worship leader, the now agnostic songwriter combines ambient sounds and heartfelt emotion with songs rooted in elements of folk, bluegrass, country and jazz. Kocka has released seven albums, three under her own name, two with the band Sun Gods to Gamma Rays, and an indie rock album under the name CAETANI.
ABOUT CAFFREY + SCOTT
Seasoned musicians, songwriters and long-time friends, Caffrey + Scott is the musical duo of Madi Hannan-Smith (Scott) and Brianna Kocka (Caffrey). Caffrey + Scott met while attending university in rural New Brunswick, Canada, where together they studied music and the arts. Their time living in Atlantic Canada serves as a backdrop to their infatuation with sea shanties and other celtic inspired tunes. Throw in their love of Celtic music and culture, along with family ties to Ireland and Scotland, Caffrey + Scott blend lush harmonies with acoustic instruments, playing a mixture of traditional and modern songs by Celtic artists, as well as original songs inspired by the genre.
